Janet Jackson Up close and personal

I just saw Janet Jackson perform at her Up close and Personal tour in Phoenix, Arizona at the Comerica Theater. Ive seen her 4 times and all were amazing, but something about this show, was different. Its hard to take Up Close and Personal serious when your playing in a venue that seats roughly 5500 people, BUT it felt that way. In Janet's other shows, I always watched the entire show, the dancers, the costumes, the sets, the choreography, it was a great entertaining spectacle that I loved, but this show, I just watched Janet. I hardly paid attention to the dancers. In a way I cant describe, there was a level of intimacy with this show and it really made me feel connected. Gone were the numerous outfit changes, save for one wife beater, to a black wife beater. Janet rocked skin tight jeans tucked in some casual boots and a wife beater, she looked sooo comfortable, natural and at ease. Being able to compare her various shows, I can definitely say I prefer the no outfit changing, and smaller venues.

The classic iconic choreography that we all fell in love with was still here, and at 44 years old, she attacked, murdered, killed, owned that choreography like she was 20 y.o. Dont let anyone tell u she doesnt have it anymore. At 44, she danced/performed better, than peers half her age. I was beyond amazed at how precise, sensual, and on point she still is after all these years. Her dancing and stage presence is only getting better with age.

In terms of what she performed, she did all her classic hits. My fave was probably her doing pleasure principle solo. The attitude from the video was definitely on stage. When she did "thats the way love goes", the crowd went wild, always a pleaser. You want this, got me sooo hype...i can go on and on about each song, basically what Im saying is, she killed every song. My special highlight was her performing, Diamonds, make me and the best things in life are free(feat the late luther vandross), smaller known janet hits, a casual fan might not be familiar with. In terms of her vocals, they were amazingly crystal clear and PRETTY. When she sat down and sang again, lets wet awhile, etc etc etc her voice was beautiful. NO shes not beyonce(and thank god), but Janets voice is truly pretty and she was sanging her songs.

If her tour is on the way to your city..TRUST ME...SOOOOO WORTH IT.. In terms of merchandise, i saw the tour book online and said, "oh it isnt worth 30 dollars". Guess what, IT IS. In person, its HUGE, high quality, glossy photos. definitely worth the 30 dollars.. shes still Ms. Jackson, Damita Jo, Dunk, Strawberry, or whatever else u want to call her, and she is still KILLING IT...but 100 bucks Ive spent in a loooooong time.

78 year old Iconic Screen Goddess, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, has recently passed. I have long hailed her as one of, if not THE most beautiful people of all time. I love her as an actress, a personality, a philanthropist, and amazing beauty. My all time favorite movies happen to have her as a lead actress. If you havent already, check out Cleopatra, Suddenly Last Summer, Cat on a hot tin roof and Giant. Oh yeah, she also wore the hell out some clothes. FASHION ICON ALERT..

My heart is truly heavy. An avid fighter for AIDS research, and a Fashion/Movie/Beauty Icon. She will truly be missed.

Style Gurus and Fashionistas NYFW is here. Just checked out BCBGMAXAZARIA and Richard Chai's Fall 2011 line and its very depressing in my opinion. Lots of grays, blacks, and neutrals. Richard Chai has some tailored trousers and modern outer wear, BCBCGMAXAZARIA has some chic sheer knee length skirts paired with knee high boots, also they have this to die for pants jumpsuit...u can always win me over with a great jumpsuit...love that. Even if they arent the most up beat pieces ive seen, definitely a few looks you will want to have come autumn.

Pinpointing 20 of my favorite things was actually hard. I collect so many different things and have so many different hobbies, I kept bouncing around. Here go the 20 that made it in no particular order.

1. Comic Books. Im a big comic nerd. Loved Teen Titans, FROM THE 80's not the crap now. Also the Warlands saga, but my all time favorite is ELFQUEST.

2. Janet Jackson. ICON Fave pop artist, was a huge inspiration for me dancing and doing choreography.

3. The Rat Pack. Creators of style, "swagger" cool, mens chic. Love them. The Music, the clothes, the attitude

4. Fashion. Whether its outrageous and over the top, or understated and classic, I love the expression of fashion.

5. Louis Vuitton. self explanatory

6. While we are in the fashion world. NAOMI CAMPBELL. love everything about her. and if u dont love her im gonna throw a phone at you.

7. Mexican Food...mmmmn and not that fake ass taco bell or fake chipotle/baja fresh crap. Chimichanga and cheese crisps in particular

8. CHAMPAGNE and Prosecco make everything..........sexier

9. I am a child of the 80s and love 80s movies, specifically the Brat Pack.

10. Sweets. GOD I love sweets, Cakes, Cookies, candy bar, chocolate...just give me SWEETS DAMN IT.

Who would have thought my favorite child of destiny would end up being the Brown Skinned beauty Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland has reinvented herself into a Euro Dance Queen and the title fits her as nicely as the one piece jump suits shes been rocking. Her new international single is "forever and a day" and the video is fun flirty and catchy.

Day 4.........Favorite Book

Anne Rice and Langston Hughes are by far my favorite authors. Langston Hughes has been a large impact on my life in terms of the style of poetry I write. Anne Rice has had the same impact on the stories/prose I write.

Ive always loved vampires, not this twilight crap, but ones with long drawn out culture and substantial history intended for adults, and Anne Rice delivers on that front. The funny thing is, my favorite piece of work from her is not about vampires. Its about Creoles of Color from Louisiana. Being part Creole I was intrigued with this book, "The Feast of All Saints". The story takes place in Pre-bellum Louisiana(before the civil war). This is one of the few works of fiction that deals with Creoles of Color, a free people of color during slavery times that owned property, slaves, and tended to be very wealthy, educated families of means. Anne Rice paints a backdrop in a way only she can. Her descriptions are so vivid and detailed you feel like you are sitting in these Pre-bellum mansions discussing politics and anything else. I related to the main character Marcel St-Marie on so many different levels. The characters are so complex and multi dimensional. Its so well written, it doesnt matter what your interests are, you will find yourself glued to the emotional roller coaster that is "Feast of All Saints"

Day 3........TV

I am so helplessly addicted to television. In terms of reality programs I much prefer those actually based on Talent(Project runway, work of art, Top Chef), but I must admit, the dramatic absurdity and privileged antics of shows like Real Housewives and Keeping up with the Kardashians reel me in every single time.

All time favorite show ever is DYNASTY, primetime soap opera from the 80s. Dallas came in a close second. When I was a kid I never missed Dynasty on Wednesday or The Colbys on Thursday. I wanted to be Dex Dexter, I wanted to be an oil tycoon, I wanted Alexis to be my friend. As a small child I was completely too engrossed in this show.

Honorable mention goes out to Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, two more classic shows that fueled my imagination and entertained me for hours and hours and hours.

As far as a show thats still currently running I would have to say its probably Gossip Girl. All of you should know by now that I go in for spoiled rich white kids spending money and being outlandish. They make the best tv.

Having to sit and pick a favorite anything makes you really think about what you thought you knew you liked(oooh got deep on you.lol). As I'm contemplating my favorites in general I am noticing a pattern, most of my favorites are old or classic. I guess I knew I was an old soul but I still want to be a part of my generation damn it. Tried as I might, I simply couldnt pick just one.

Ive always loved musicals. Probably the first movies I started watching. Oddly enough my fave musical is Grease 2. DONT ASK WHY..lol just roll with it...ITS GREAT AND UNDERRATED...and it has Michelle Pfeiffer.

Imitation of Life (1959 version). I used to watch this movie when I was little with my mom and grandma. Story of a black woman who could pass for white and often tried, and hated her mother for being black. Love this movie. Lana Turner is ridiculously glamourific. If for nothing else her wardrobe is good enough reason to watch.

This list wouldnt be complete if I didnt include a movie by one of the most beautiful women to ever walk the earth. Elizabeth Taylor. True Screen Goddess. My affinity for Egypt coupled with her outstanding dramatic performance, flawless make up and Egyptian Couture made Cleopatra a no brainer. Plus anytime you get to see Liz Taylor and Rex Harrison on screen together its very worth it.

MTV sucks

So yesterday in pop culture the big talk was the MTV VMAs. I was totally ready to sit down and watch it. I began watching the arrivals on the white carpet and a thought hit me in the back of the head. I dont know half of these people, and the people I do know, I dont care to see on tv. Im so over people rambling on about Lady Gaga being innovative. Ur not innovative when ur entire look is stole from Grace Jones , Labelle, George Clinton and Parliament. As far as a fashion Icon, wearing outlandish clothes no one else would wear for attention does not make u fashion forward or fashion icon worthy....Sorry had to get that off my chest.

It was a sad realization because I love being a part of pop culture and engaging in the dialogue, but after trying to force myself to watch it, I realized I had outgrown MTV and its probably been that way for a while...oh well....life happens.

Day 1..Favorite Song

For those that know me, you already know I am completely enamored with soul music, Vintage and Neo. Picking a favorite song is probably the hardest thing most people are asked to do.lol. So I will pick 2. My favorite "modern" song, and my favorite "vintage" song.

Etta James is easily one of my all time favorite artists. The soul and emotion she emits while singing is ridiculous. Her tone sends chills down my spine. "All I could do was cry" gets me everytime. Its a situation I think I could easily find myself in...lol..Aside from that she sings with such a ferocity and raw pain the song embedded itself in my heart.

Modern song I had to really think about it. Im considering "modern" any song made after the 90s. Drum roll please..............John Legend "ordinary People". Funny history with John. When he first came out. I could not stand the sound of his voice, but I really related and liked his actual songs. I also completely dug his image. So I gave him a second chance. Now I love his throaty soul. It sends me back to the 60s and 70s. Ordinary people is a song that anyone can relate to, its beautiful, simple and I dont think anyone else could sing it..............except Donny Hathaway :-)

Dhani Jones...modern day Adonis

Everyone is always asking me what my ideal physical type is...well I have two words for you..DHANI JONES. Im not into football, but apparently he's a linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals, but who cares about that. He also developed his own line of high-end bowties, and writes movie reviews. I came to know about this renaissance man via Dhani Jones tackles t he Globe (insert random come tackle me joke). He goes to different countries and learns of their culture by playing their regional sport. It's actually a good show, and im not just saying that because hes half naked thru most of it. In a world of overly manicured grown men who want to look like little boys, it warms my soul.......and other places, to see a debonair, suave, very well dressed chocolate adonis with the body of a real man, not some model or twinky little boy, body hair..YES BODY HAIR..(chest, stomach, thighs, etc)...and the body on this man, have you seen his thighs??? Baby Jesus its getting hot in here.lol...from now on when I spot someone I find attractive im gonna say "Ooooh hes a total Dhani"......yeah im ridiculous..I know.

I am a slave to messenger/overnight bags. Let's just be honest, I'm a whore for any manbag I can get my little chocolate fingers on. I was shopping for a younger client who wanted a laptop bag, but he wanted it to have some kind of "flavor" to it, but still be professional enough for his job. What is that, an excuse to shop for man bags?, so off I went, and this is what I came up with which will be cluttering the shelves of my well organized closet.

First the laptop/workbag. You can never go wrong with leather. Black leather can be a little boring and cliché, so I wanted brown leather, comfortable look and feel, and straps that provide a little fun, color and pop, and I stumbled upon the Bally Travel/Computer Bag.

America's Gay Bachelor 2010

America's Gay Bachelor 2010 and Long Beach Pride came and went, and I didnt win. It was an amazing time though, judged a drag contest at the Pink Party, with divas such as Morgan McMichaels from RuPaul's Drag Race, participated in a RUFSKIN fashion show and other VIP events. I also learned about myself. I learned my tolerance for alcohol is probably much higher than it should be, I learned there is no such thing as too many mimosas, and I learned that no matter what...DRINK WITH UR HEAD HELD HIGH. All that being said, it was a fantastic event, the other finalists were all great guys, Organizers were amazing, just a great weekend. Thanks to those of u that did vote for me. and those that didnt..WHAT WERE U THINKING??(sorry had a Shes all that moment)

Toni Braxton just released her video for her current new single "Make My Heart", and let me say....I love it. To be honest the song was just "okay" to me at first, but after the visual jizzfest she gave me in this video, I like it much more. Toni is not a great dancer, but who ever choreographed this gave her just enough to be sexy and cute. Everything was perfect for her, from her simply sexy hand gestures, to her flawlessly fucked hair, the sultry shimmy dress...oh and did I mention she had the KIDS in the video left and right. They gave me fishy ass duck walks, rough trade came in stepping giving me a quick hood fix, Fanny Pack brought the fun pop vibe..Its just all around on point..I see you miss Toni, and I love it...

As If that video wasnt enough, she has the nerve to drop another on us "Hands Tied". Hands Tied is a slower song, showing off Toni's voice. Its like sex on wax..its taking me back to "Secrets" days. For eye candy she gives us Jensen Atwood and Michael Jai White to oogle at. Good going Toni.

Women's Spring Summer trends.

I have gotten more than a few "overly enthusiastic" emails asking when I'm going to do something for the ladies. Well Ladies here it is. Im going to list a couple of my favorite fashion trends for S/S 2010.

I've always adored tribal/ethnic embellishments or jewelry, so its no wonder this trend made it to my list.
Think military/history/ethnic all have an orgy and gave birth to Modern Tribal Future Warrior.

Sass & Bide Spring/Summer 2010

We also have the amazing Janet Jackson bringing you a different take on the trend. Janet Jackson is rocking out a darker futuristic version of a military look in a Todd Lynn blazer with metal shoulders and then again in a Todd Lynn piece that looks like it emerged from an apocalyptic war in the near future to give birth to an ethnic warrior.

Another trend we saw assaulting the runways was printed pants. From graphic prints to abstract shapes, to florals and stripes you will have plenty of different ways to incorporate this trend into your style repertoire. I get a woody from this trend because I'm a complete whore for a print(especially a floral).

Okay so I've always known the universe loves me, but its been made evident by the fact the universe has protected me from the HOT GARBAGE ASS MESS that is this music video. I dont know when it came out, but I forced myself to watch it. Kiely Williams formerly of 3lw and Cheetah Girls has come out with a video called "Spectacular". There are random naked ass shots, Kiely cupping her own ass and jiggling it, complete lack of styling or vision, and the vocals....honestly I watched it on mute so I dont know. John Forsythe Dies

Dynasty is one of my all time favorite shows, thanks in large part to the realistic performance of John Forsythe as oil tycoon and family patriarch "Blake Carrington". When I was younger I wanted to change my name to Blake, and live in Denver, CO. John was an amazing actor, who also contributed his smooth voice to Charlie's Angels to voice Charlie.

John Forsythe dies at age 92 after a year long battle with cancer and complications due to pneumonia.

John you will be missed, but your legacy will live on.

I never watch American Idol, because all the contestants are soulless pitch imperfect corporate cut outs. But I heard Diddy's latest group was performing, Dirty Money, so I had to tune in. They premiered their new single "Hello, Good Morning", and let me say, Diddy still knows how to make us dance. It was AMAZING. the beat is hot, dancing was fun, Styling was on point. It was a well put together show. Great live performance. Oh yeah, Dawn's (formerly of Danity Kane) walk was sick as shit down those stairs.

On a side note. Usher's performance was flat, awkward, boring, and sounded terrible. His dancing was stiff, his outfit was weird. The only thing he did do was give Dawn a run for her money on his "mean walk" down the stairs. Seriously, no clue what was up with this horrible performance of his.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE this song(minus ficki minaj's part). That being said, the video is weak on so many levels. It looks like a bootleg remix version of "yeah", and for this to be coming from the "confessions" artist, it just comes off cheap, last minute, and a tad low budget. No creativity, just blah blah and blech. Nicki Minaj looks like a broke Cruella Deville, and radiates ZERO sex appeal. The choreography looks like it was done by Usher's little 8 yo cousin. This video is an EPIC FAIL on all levels. Too bad because its such a great song. With all that being said though, I really do like Usher's new album and hope this video isnt representative of whats to come.

Morehouse gets a Dress code

Morehouse President Dr. Robert M. Franklin, Jr. is implementing a dress code starting today as part of his "Five Wells: well read, well spoken, well-traveled, well dressed and well balanced."

Some points of the dress code include: not wearing do-rags outside of residence halls, no sunglasses in class, no jeans at major programs, no pajamas outside of the dorm, no dental grills, no women's garb and my personal favorite: no sagging.

"Each student must promote and portray a positive image and properly represent themselves and the college," the notice says.

Personally I'm all for this dress code. Morehouse has a reputation of turning out gentlemen, renaissance men, business men, and all around positive black men, and whether we like it or not, the way u dress affects how people view you. So we should be teaching these young men there is a time and place for everything. I dont think anyone is expecting them to wear a 3 piece suit to class everyday, but the expectation is there that u have enough respect to remove ur sunglasses in class, and not expose ur underwear to the world because ur pants are sagging so low. Come on black men, is that too much to ask?

I remember when I was younger, the image I had of a Morehouse man and how upstanding it was. I dont see anything wrong with wanting to return to that image, instead of that of a bad rap video.

President Obama addressed the HRC(Human Rights campaign) and above all else promised to END "Dont ask dont tell". He also acknowledges in his speech changes have taken longer than they should, but goes on to say we(LGBT community) have a "friend" in the white house and will work for all of us to have equal rights... Only time will tell.

I really respect him for acknowledging the discontent and lack of patience many of us have had lately with how long change is taking. If any thing this country is about our right to be unhappy with the government, and Obama sees that. I may not agree with him all the time, but I always respect him. Hes definitely a class act. So my favorite New Orleans native Harry Connick Jr. was a judge on a talent show in Australia when one of the acts came out and sung and dance in black face. He gave them a zero and let the host and audience know his disgust for what happened.

Now on to the drama. Harry Connick Jr appeared on MadTV before as a black preacher. So people are calling him a hypocrite, because they are saying he has done black face. Famed Actor Darryl Stephens said "Harry Connick Jr. was playing a black man, but he wasn't in BLACKFACE. Not the same thing", and I am very inclined to agree with him.

“I am trying to show the world that we are all human beings and that color is not important. What is important is the quality of our work.”

Alvin Ailey Jr. was an internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer. He founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, a dance company hailed as an ambassador of American culture. Ailey formed a multiracial company and revolutionized dance, incorporating elements of ballet and jazz, along with modern and African dance, into his work.

Ailey grew up in Rogers, Texas, the son of a young, struggling single mother. His father abandoned the family when Ailey was six months old. In 1941, the family moved to Los Angeles, where Ailey met Lester Horton, who ran the first multiracial dance school.

Horton took Ailey under his wing, teaching him a variety of dance styles and techniques. In 1953, Ailey joined Horton’s company. Later that year, he was named artistic director.

In 1954, Ailey made his Broadway debut dancing in “House of Flowers.” He also performed in “Sing, Man, Sing” with Harry Belafonte and in “Jamaica” with Lena Horne.

In 1957, Ailey established the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The company’s premiere performance, “Blues Suite”—a riveting work reflecting the African-American emotional experience—defined Ailey’s theatrical and eclectic style.

A prolific choreographer, Ailey created 79 original works for his company. “Revelations” (1960), recognized as his signature piece, is touted as the most-watched work of modern dance. “Cry” (1971), one of Ailey’s most successful works, was dedicated to his mother and African-American women.

In 1979, Ailey received the Springarn Medal for outstanding achievement from the NAACP. In 1988, he was recognized with a Kennedy Center Honors Award.

Ailey died at age 58 from complications of AIDS. In his memory, a section of West 61st Street in New York was named “Alvin Ailey Way.”

We have got more Janet album news after her EPIC, ICONIC performance on the VMA's. The latest song "Make Me" is said to be off of her upcoming Greatest Hits Album, a 30 track, double disc collection of her number 1's. Its rumored to be dropping on November 17th.

In 2010 we can also expect a brand new studio album. Rodney Jerkins who produced "Feedback" is very involved with the new project.

“I’m working heavily with Janet,” Jerkins said, adding that her new album will have a throwback feel.

“We’ve been in the studio for the last month. We’ve been getting it in. We’re going back to basics and fundamental sounds of Janet. We’re trying to target her fans by making the records that her fans will embrace. A lot of up-tempo stuff makes you feel good. There’s so many different colors of Janet. So Gerlan Jeans just had their spring/summer 2010 fashion show at NYFW. It was very urban, young, bright and definitely street inspired. Pinks and purples flooded the catwalk, and upon even closer inspection, clenched fists and marijuana leaves also adorned the clothes. What impressed me most of all with Gerlan Jeans is ALL THE ETHNIC MODELS. We know at NYFW or any fashion show Ethnic models are few and far between, but at Gerlan, Ethnic models were the standard and not the exception. So kudos to Gerlan.

First up Bottega Veneta

I love this shirt. Its patterned and floral. Thats a double yes for me.

The Bow tie with the stripes. Simple and Chic. Also love the color of the pants

Cuffs are big. I love a cuff on a nice fitted straight leg pant. The denim is a good shade, love the peaked shoulders on the blazer. This outfit just gives off a classic american sportswear vibe that I love. Very clean. Completely HUGE

Moving on to VERSACE

I love the styling of this outfit. Love the all white, the double belts, the multi necklaces. Makes me want to go to L.A like TONIGHT. Lets be real, any excuse I get to show my chest.. I TAKE IT.

The next few days my post will be dedicated to people who have helped shape me in some form or fashion. My Completely Iconic series.

Today the focus is none other than Janet Damita-Jo Jackson. I grew up with her as Penny on Good Times, Charlene on Different Strokes, and Cleo on Fame. When she got in Control of her music, we were all in for a special treat. Transitioning from a classy black actress to the Queen of Dance, pioneer in the female R&B/Pop world, and overall setting trends/standards for this new generation to follow and breaking down barriers so the kids today can do what they do.

Her innovative choreography, perfectly chosen dancers, and ground breaking videos inspired me to get up and cut a rug. Because of Miss Jackson I am happy to say I was inspired to choreograph and perform hip hop dance for the past 10 years. Also her contributions and support in the black and gay community are enormous and long lasting. I can go on and on about her, but I wont, Instead I will just show you, why shes Completely Iconic.

And Mr. AJ, what do u do to afford that Louis Vuitton Keepall? Im going to assume one of two things. One, its fake, because the straps haven't oxidized. Or two, Kandi just bought it for him. UHM did AJ not get the memo to dress up..what the hell is he wearing.. he looks like he just came from Kmomo. His outfit was completely horrible. Im siding with Kandi's mom on the AJ issue.

The King Tut exhibit. This footage was pretty boring, but I enjoyed it because I'm a borderline Egyptologist, and overly fascinated with anything relating to Egypt/Nubia. Now why did Kandi bring AJ. If ur gonna sit in the corner and be quiet, stay ur ass at home. Did he really stay in the corner and text the entire time. He couldnt even appreciate the antiquities and the treasures that surrounded him. Was his texting really that important. You dont have a job, so it wasnt that serious. I really dont care for AJ.

Now NeNe was trying to be a gracious host, and making jokes to break the ice, and Kandi was rolling her eyes acting above the situation. Kandi mellow out and get a sense of humor.

Dwight and NeNe are now shopping for fabric. A little dullsville. no real comment on this...This weeks show was a tad boring and slow. Hopefully it will pick up next week. What did you all think?

Why is it okay that Michael Knight has a 90's flattop/fade. Someone please tell him his face is too fat for those glasses...and really, a fragrance thats odd cuz I get the feeling Michael himself smells like balls and underarms

Wasnt Daniel fresh out of fashion school, no real experience, and lost project runway, but yet he feels qualified to put out a book?? get the hell out of here..Im not buying it......LITERALLY

Korto's bags, hmmmm jungle horns as purse handles on loud tacky bags....I cant say im a fan...and thats too bad, cuz i loved her on her season of project runway..on a side note, she has beautiful skin. I also want to see Korto's bare ass...JUST ONCE...im fascinated, amazed and hypnotized

Now im only going to discuss the collections I actually thought were good. The rest didnt move me enough to remember what they looked like.

Uli's line: I loved the nude cocktail dress. The flow of it, the ruffling detail. It just worked for me. Also in love with the structured muted asymmetrical number. The construction was great. We havent seen Uli attempt complicated constrction. Good job. The metaillic outfit with the built in broach, and removable sequin shrug....HUGE. It caught my attention, had a lot going on, but not too much to be distracting in my opinion. I thought she presented a solid effort.

Korto was very boring BUT, I loved her restaurant look. Possibly the best dress in on the runway tonight. Asymmetrical, black, cocktail dress, fierce construction,the back was sexy great details, fit was good. She won me with that one piece. HUGE

Outside of that I wasnt impressed with much. I did like Santino's sequin leggings (am I becoming a whore for sequins). I liked his sequin top as well, hated the fringe on back though. While we are on Santino, all his liquid shimmery latex outfits remind me of things Beyonce would and has worn (which means i thought they looked cheap and tacky).

Didnt agree with the judges(I personally hated Daniels line) this go round, but Kudos to Daniel for winning and good luck.

p.s, I loved Korto's eyeroll when Daniel was announced. I dont think either of them should have won, but I would have picked Korto over Daniel.

If you "cyber meet" someone online, whats the proper time limit for exchanging numbers? and whats the proper time limit for the first face to face meeting? What is the Longest you would be willing to keep it strictly "online." Do you think your odds are better at meeting someone online as opposed to in person.

In the gay community we dont have many choices for meeting people. Its the bars, or online, unless we live in a gay mecca, like Atlanta, DC or San Fran. My best friend (like oprah and gayle) has had his online dating woes and I wanted your take on online dating. Let’s face it, in this time and age gay dating websites are nothing but sex pits. But we do come across those very few that grab our attention and are worthy of a conversation. There are also a couple of sites like Chemistry.com and Gay online Singles that seem to be more than just a bootycall site. What are your experiences with those if any?

While we are on the subject of Gay "dating"sites, lets discuss them for a minute as well. What are deal breakers for you when ur scanning a profile. If they say they are lookinig for a relationship but their pic is half naked, does that mean they are lying? If someone is open to a "hook up" does that mean u wont date them. If they dont have a picture do you not even bother to speak? And because we are communicating via the screen, do we share sexual info too soon? Top or Bottom? How many partners, what are you wearing. Does online dating make sex too easy to to talk about and hence making it get brought up too quickly?

Absinthe is the new Black

Are you a drinker? Daring? Creative, Want to be the epitome of chic among your peers? Well then stop drinking Vodka and start drinking Absinthe. Absinthe was the drink of Parisian artists, and writers. Picasso even painted some of his best works under the influence of Absinthe. It is generally bright green in color giving it the nick name "The Green Fairy". It also comes clear.

So why is Absinthe so great? This is why...Absinthe is generally at least 100 proof (I know u want it already). Here is the great part, some people believe it has hallucinogenic properties...The chemical thujone is found in it which some believe make it an addictive psychoactive drug. (how fun does this drink sound??) Its been illegal in the states since 1915, but as of 2007 the original French formula with wormwood is BACK AND LEGALLY SOLD HERE.

Now that you are sold on it. You have to know how to drink it. U cant just chug it down. There is an artform to drinking Absinthe.

You will need to purchase an Absinthe spoon.

Got it? good, lets start.....

1. First pour one part Absinthe into your clear glass. (1 ounce, I personally prefer 1.5 ounces)
2. Place ur Absinthe spoon over the glass as seen in pic 2. Then place a sugar cube over the designs on your spoon.
3. Slowly pour about 3 parts of ice cold water over the sugar cube, causing it to dissolve into your drink.
4. You will notice your drink has become cloudy. Do not be alarmed. That is just the anise, fennel and star anise separating and causing a "louche".

Now the herbal aromas and flavors have been released, its time to sit back and responsibly enjoy your Absinthe.

America's Best Dance Crew Wk 2

This week reminded me why I stopped watching this show after the first season. Its either a bunch of b-boys doing the same stunts and top rocking every week, or some watered down hip hop group doing jazz and cheerleading moves.

Everyone was very mediocre, with the exception of one group.

Vogue Evolution was sloppy, wild all over the place, danced with no purpose and unfocused energy..well i guess they were staying true to the spirit of beyonce.

Afroborike, actually surprised me. They did much better than I expected, and were clean, and their stunts were incorporated into choreography very well.

Artistry in motion was BORING, they stayed playing with that chain the entire routine and had low energy

Southern Movement needs to drop the hick hop thing, they are actually a good hip hop group, just stick to that

We R heroes looked so uncomfortable in heels and womens clothes. Their routine did not stay with the vibe of beyonce or the vibe of the song. they arent versatile at all.

Finally RHYTHM CITY.....AMAZING..the bed as a prop, the hands and faces thru that material. all original and creative. As usual their choreography is so tight, together, and entertaining. they definitely have the best choreography ive seen on this show in a long time..They are just overall an amazing hip hop dance group. the epitome of what this show should be

Has the lord-ah ever moved u so much that u just had to record a video sermon, but didnt have a webcam... Well thats the case here, and it seems as the lord-ah, moved here to go to the apple store to record this.
